A single window or a small bay is often a one-day job. A whole house depends on the number of openings and is confirmed after the survey. A recent hardwood bay replacement was completed in one to two days.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions.
Windows, doors, conservatories, roofing, bathrooms, payments and guarantees. Open a question to read the answer.
Yes. Notifiable glazing is registered through Assure, our Competent Person Scheme, where the work requires Building Regulations notification.
We offer energy-efficient double glazing, warm-edge spacer bars, and triple-glazing upgrades. The exact performance depends on the window and glass chosen, and is written into the quotation.
A wide range, including Anthracite Grey, Chartwell Green, Cream, Black and Irish Oak, depending on the product range. Foil finishes and dual colour are available on many systems.
Yes. Composite, uPVC, sliding patio and decorative front doors. Composite doors are available in a broad colour range, confirmed against the manufacturer’s current palette.
uPVC doors are extruded plastic frames, light and low maintenance. Composite doors use a timber or timber-effect core with a GRP skin, so they feel more solid and take deeper colour and glass designs. We talk through locking and glazing for both.
Many replacements fall under permitted development, but conservation areas, listed buildings and some extensions do not. We flag this at the survey and do not start work that needs consent until it is in place. Like-for-like window replacements in a typical house usually do not need planning permission.
Yes. LivinRoof, UltraRoof and SupaLite roofs can replace a tired glass or polycarbonate roof and make the room more comfortable, provided the existing frames are sound.
A solid insulated roof cuts summer heat gain and winter heat loss compared with old single glazing or thin polycarbonate. Comfort still depends on the walls, floor and heating in the room.
Yes. We repair and replace flat roofs, and we attend emergency leaks where we can make the building watertight. Call +44 7457 402386 and describe what is happening.
A typical house re-roof is several days once scaffolding is up. The programme is set after we see the roof, the weather, and whether felt, battens and leadwork need replacing.
A straightforward bathroom is often around a week. Wet rooms are possible in small rooms when the floor can take the falls and the tanking is continuous. Underfloor heating is offered where the floor build-up allows it.
Yes. A slipped tile and a large extension are both part of the work. Landlords use us for repeat maintenance across more than one property.
Workmanship is guaranteed for 2 years. Manufacturer warranties depend on the product and are confirmed in the quote. We carry £5 million public liability. See the guarantees section.
Quotes are free and without obligation. We aim to reply the same working day. Start dates depend on the survey, manufacture lead times and the current diary.
Payment stages are written into the quotation. Deposit, progress and completion amounts are agreed before work starts. Details are on the payment methods section.
Yes to both. Staircases, fitted furniture, doors and general carpentry are in-house. We sheet up, remove the old materials and leave the area clean before we go.
Width depends on the system and the structural opening. We measure on site rather than guessing from a brochure. Bi-fold doors can be specified to open inward or outward.
Often, yes. We use Pilkington and other leading decorative glasses and will say honestly if a discontinued pattern cannot be matched exactly.
